There are loads of exceptional, progressive restaurants that cater to vegetarian and vegan palates, and MM intends to list as many of them as possible. (We also love guest reviewers so be in touch if you'd like to make us hip to a new veggie eatery - info in the sidebar).

Notice too that as of this point there are very few "$$$" restaurants listed yet. This is because yet another benefit of eating vegetarian is that the dishes are cheaper than when you order meat so you can eat at nicer restaurants more often!

Welcome friends, to vegan paradise. This unassuming spot serves up some of the heartiest, most original and cheapest vegan fare in Miami. There is no set menu as everything is made from scratch daily. Because everything is so fresh, lunch rules here as they can run out of things as the day goes on. There are always great choices with fantastic flavor - yummy veggie stews, callilou, couscous, and excellent fake meats made into kabob skewers, tacos and more. They also offer fresh juices (try the ginger!), and every Thursday is ethnic day where you can sample some rad Ethiopian or Guayanese food. Garden definitely picks up where Tree of Zion (R.I.P.) left off and then some. Most highly recommended! Here are quick directions as it's a bit hard to find: Garden of Eatin' is on NW 62nd St. just west of N Miami Ave. It's on the south side in between two yellow buildings at the far end of the parking lot and there's usually a sandwich board pointing the way - GO!

Wow! Simply wow! The food here is as excellent as it is abundant. I have never been a fan of steamed vegetables, yet they even managed to make those delicious. Add to that a perfectly spiced seiten steak, a hearty portion of beans and rice, a very fresh salad and quite possibly the tastiest pea soup I have ever had and you have one hell of a lunch. Today was my first visit, but I am sure the friendly staff here will be seeing more and more of me.

The Garden of Eatin is the BEST restaurant in Miami! The food is the best. No meat of any kind near this kitchen. It's like going home and having your mum (or dad) serve you what they made today. GO TODAY!!!!

The new owner is Mrs. Brown and she is super awesome! In addition to the great food she prepares from scratch daily, Mrs. Brown is looking to book live Jazz so if you play...let her know. If you are a vegetarian or like me, just love vegetarian cuisine, you must stop by for a meal. Garden of Eatin' doesn't disappoint. Far from it.

I am from atlanta and went to garden of eatin, it was so good. I had dinner, they were serving duck that night and curry tofu. I ate all of my food and the plate was packed with food. They also had this celery iced tea that was so good. I would go back next time i go to miami.
