Welcome to Meatless Miami

Meatless Miami is all about spreading the gospel about how easy it is to find delicious, gourmet vegan and vegetarian cuisine in South Florida. There are loads of exceptional, progressive restaurants that cater to veg-centric palates, and MM intends to list as many of them as possible. (We also love guest reviewers so be in touch if you'd like to make us hip to a new veggie eatery - info in the sidebar).

NEWS: I'm now blogging on the New Times' Short Order food blog about veg-related everything! Please check out my "Meatless In Miami" columns there and leave feedback.

Notice too that as of this point there are very few "$$$" restaurants listed yet. This is because yet another benefit of eating vegetarian is that the dishes are cheaper than when you order meat so you can eat at nicer restaurants more often!

Yes it’s true, you can eat sushi without eating fish! This growing chain offers quick, simple and cheap Japanese sushi and bowls without sacrificing quality, and they have decent veg options. Their “Veggieville” combo comes with 3 pieces of veggie sushi, a veggie roll, and a kappa (cucumber) roll, all for $7.25. Plus, Hiro’s signature ginger dressing is positively orgasmic and we highly recommend getting extra to take home and put all over everything.

The 5140 Biscayne location is no longer officially part of the Hiro's chain.
