For a large chain restaurant on the swanky side, P.F. Chang's has got the competiton beat hands down. P.F.'s is extremely vegetarian AND vegan-friendly, and their prices are completely reasonable. They have a whole vegetarian section on the menu, with coconut curry, stir-fried spicy eggplant, ma po tofu and so much more. On the appetizer tip, their Tofu Lettuce Wraps are seriously to die for! On top of that, P.F. Chang's offers brown rice instead of white (it's twice as healthy!), organic green tea, and sick desserts like the Great Wall of Chocolate. This is a place you can go to with your parents, business associates, your vegan pals, or just about anyone who likes Chinese food. Suck on that, Cheesecake Factory.

How To Use This Guide
Key
Ratings (based on yumminess and general consideration toward vegetarians):

Glorious, tofu-filled veggie paradise!

Highly recommended for progressive palates.

You could definitely do better, but you won’t starve.
Pathetically insensitive toward meatless society. Pass!
Vegan-friendly (offering food that is completely free of all animal by-products including eggs, dairy, gelatin, lard, etc.
Price rating scale, based on a meal for one person without drinks:
$ under $10
$$ under $20
$$$ under $30
Notice too that as of this point there are very few "$$$" restaurants listed yet. This is because yet another benefit of eating vegetarian is that the dishes are cheaper than when you order meat so you can eat at nicer restaurants more often!

Try eating at Essential Apothecary, a vegetarian place near here! It's on Tamiami Trial (SW 8th St) by 122nd Ave, in a huge nto so pretty looking shopping strip.
I also noticed a vegetarian place by Fountainbleu Blvd and 107 Ave underneath Royal Thai (a great Thai restaurant btw).
I went to PF Chang's recently for the first time and was way disappointed! I was so excited to see all the veg options on the menu, and psyched that they had brown rice, but the veggie ma po tofu was super greasy and oily, with wilty, mushy broccoli...ugh. Maybe it was an off night.
P.F.'s can definitely be on or off, I'll probably edit the post a bit to reflect that since I've been eating there more often. I also always ask for my ma-po tofu "NOT FRIED" because otherwise it definitely can be swimming in oil. Usually they're pretty cool about special requests so speak up if something isn't up to par and they'll usually remedy it pretty quick.
"suck on that, cheesecake factory." classic.
dissapointing, the staff wasn't very knowledgeable, and the food was greasy. Yes they have some vegan food, but not a place I would want to go back to.
Pei wei is similiar, owned by pfchangs, but a lot cheaper!
I just wanted to let you guys know that my girlfriend and I discovered that you can request ANYTHING be served with tofu replacing meat. Its a little more pricy than other vegetarian food, but the mongolian beef w/ five spiced tofu (yes, you can even get different varieties of tofu) is great.
Also in Kendall is the glorious little fast food version of P.F. Chang's, Pei Wei on 88th St and 137 Ave. Every plate can be ordered with tofu and veggies instead of meat, and it is really good stuff. I recommend the Teriyaki bowl with tofu & veggies and brown rice!
