Wahoooo for funky new neighborhood spots with progressive menus! Lost and Found is fairly new but has already attracted a hip local clientele. This "Southwestern/Western" eatery has themed decor and some fresh food options. There are lots of omelet and burrito variations, vegetarian chili and black bean soup, "Pinon and Pepita Crusted Tofu," and their "Signature Salad" has pretty much everything yummy in it - tofu, avocado, pine nuts, sun-dried tomatoes - over mixed greens instead of blah iceberg. The owner was super friendly and let us know that more vegetarian options, including black bean burgers and tofu melts, are on their way with the next menu update. Saddle up and check it out. Or if your horse is tired, they deliver too. (P.S. Their cookies are fresh and warm and gooey and are AWESOME. As a cookie aficionado I will certainly be back for this reason alone. -Lo)

Can't find your email address, but, you have to add Sheba, the Ethiopian restaurant in the design district. It has a phenomenal vegetarian combo platter that is absolutely delicious. I can't vouch for veganness, I would guess there's butter in most everything, but it's most excellent.
I just logged in to say the exact same thing!!! I LOOOOOVE Sheba. The food is fantastic. My favorite is the atakilt wat (stew of cabbage, potatoes, carrots and green beans) with mesir wat (spiced lentils) and kik alicha (spiced split peas)...absolutely sublime :)
The people are great too, very nice, helpful and knowledgeable. Try it out, and hopefully it will make the blog!
Sheba's up! Thanks for reading Meatless Miami!
I second the previous commenters about the overall yumminess of Sheba's. I love that place. Based on this blog's recommendation, I visited the Lost and Found Saloon. I found the tofu entree to be delicious and the staff to be very friendly. My only quibble is that the wall decor is a very large and very conspicuous (and very real) cow hide. It seems odd that a restaurant that is clearly making an effort to reach out to the vegetarian community in their menu choices would choose to create such a disturbing first impression. But other than that, very cool place.
Just went to Lost and Found Saloon last night and loved it. Will be back. 3-bean burger is excellent, black bean soup is great, tofu is good too.
One comment: The asparagus side dish on the plate tastes of bacon. Scary....
Regular at Lost and Found Saloon.
Once a week I must have the posse energy burrito or as I call it "POWER BURRITO". If you have not found this hidden treasure, make it a point to find it
The service is "The BEST" especially the mother/daughter team!
If u miss the mother/daughter team,
try again, its a blast; to be honest I don't know if I come back for the energy burrito or the energy of m/d.
Well, first, as a visitor to Miami, this blog was a great resource.
Second, The Lost and Found Saloon definitely warrants four hearts. The place is cool, although they misspelled "vegetarian" on the menu. But this is about food, not spelling, right? Our dinners were fantastic, and we'd definitely go there again if we ever make it back to Miami.
wondering if the amazing cookies at lost and found are vegan...???
